The ribbed texture gives these a little extra grip that I actually love, and the back stays totally smooth thanks to the non-scrunch design. They are definitely high compression, so I sized up and they fit perfectly for my workout. The side pockets hold my phone securely through an entire run.
The compression is no joke — I sized up and it's still snug, but the ribbed fabric holds everything in place without digging in. Pockets are deep enough for my phone during walks, and the non-scrunch back means no weird bunching under jackets. Just wish the waistband had a bit more give.
